Meet Our Founder: Richard Bell

At the heart of this company lies a personal journey—a bridge between past and present, where childhood creativity meets grown-up craftsmanship. I founded this company to bring that journey to life, embracing both nostalgia and innovation in equal measure.

As a child, I spent countless hours lost in imagination, surrounded by a pile of LEGO bricks, constructing entire worlds from my mind’s eye. Those early moments of creativity never left me. Today, they serve as the foundation of the Bricks Living Collection, a testament to the endless possibilities LEGO once offered me—and now offer to others.

As I entered my teenage years, my passion evolved. Drafting and woodworking became my new creative outlets, allowing me to transform ideas into tangible, detailed designs. The transition from LEGO to wood and paper was a natural one, igniting a love for precision and craftsmanship.

In my twenties, I discovered computers, opening the door to computer-aided drafting (CAD) and programming. What began as a tool for drafting soon became a broader creative pursuit—writing software to automate design processes and enhance efficiency. This new realm of problem-solving expanded my ability to innovate, blending artistry with technology.

The next chapter of my career was dedicated to Project and Product Management, where I spent two decades honing my skills in bringing ideas to life. But along the way, something unexpected happened—I rediscovered LEGO. What once was a childhood pastime had grown into a sophisticated medium of design, engineering, and endless creativity. At the same time, my love for woodworking and drafting reignited, bringing my journey full circle.

Today, this company stands as a reflection of that journey—blending childhood inspiration with refined craftsmanship to create something truly unique. Whether through LEGO compatible-infused décor or meticulously crafted furnishings, every piece tells a story of passion, innovation, and the timeless joy of building something meaningful.
